Spring Greens at Elk Meadow

Alla prima plein air painting early morning. I had painted en plein air at this same spot before, but in the late afternoon, and in the fall. A herd of elk was grazing, ducks were flying in and out, quacking, and a red bird I had never seen before flitted in and perched on a bush in front of me. I can't wait to go back and paint the scene again1
