A Morning Moment

"A Morning Moment" captured a mother and child in Udaipur, India in the early morning. The child had been crying because it was bath day, and the temperature was very cold, requiring the winter Micky Mouse hat. What captured me most was the strong light and the bright colors of the clothing against an also brightly painted door. The painting is in watercolor, but on a gesso canvas prepared with watercolor grounds.
