"Late Summer Afternoon"

Sometimes there are great scenes to paint without leaving home. This was painted on a hot afternoon in the front yard. Completed in one sitting, about 2.5 hours' time. I really love painting everyday subjects. Things that everyone may see in their daily life. I especially love plein air painting, with the excitement of "can I capture this moment as I see it"?
