Iris

I was speaking with a nurse at my chemotherapy session and she told me about her granddaughter who had complications and died at birth. The little girl's name was to be Iris. After seeing some of my artwork, she asked if I would paint the flower for her. I was honored to. That was my inspiration. I tried watercolor and pencil, but I kept going back to acrylics. I used extender so it wouldn't dry as quickly.
