Rain Falling on Big Creek at Michigan Trail

Having made the decision to conquer my fear of painting water, I hiked through the woods at the end of Michigan Trail on the edge of Thousand Hills State Park and settled myself and all my gear on the bank of Big Creek. No sooner had I squeezed some paint on the palette when the sun began to hide and the clouds started rolling in, so I started slapping paint on the board with a palette knife in an effort to beat the rain. I persevered through the initial light shower (yay for acrylic paint!), but when the lightning started I packed it in. I still want to learn to paint water, but I now am rather good at painting IN water!
